How does home delivery work?

Place your order online with us up until Wednesday evening at 9PM. We will be at the market bright and early on Thursday, hand-picking our fish and your order. Our delivery team (yes, they're part of our team!) will then be out delivering throughout Thursday so you get your order fresh the day it has been caught.

What happens if I am not in?

Make sure you email us with delivery instructions if you think you may not be in hello@consciousfoodco.co.uk but we can always leave the box in a safe place, or with a neighbour - just let us know in advance. 

Do you deliver the fish yourself?

We sure do. We have a team of superb delivery drivers, who are all passionate about proper food, so we always love a good chat about our fish when we deliver to you - and if you need any tips they’re happy to help.

How does the fish come?

Our catch of the day box comes filleted, and pin boned, so it is ready for you to cook. All of our other fish options will arrive how you’ve ordered them. Not sure on the options? Just ask and we can help before you order. 

Is the fish labelled?

Yes, all our products are labelled, except from the Live Crab, Live Lobster, Picked Crab & Scallops, as they don’t need a label and we’re all about minimising waste! 

How long will the fish last?

Great question, the fish will keep in the fridge for 3 days. You can freeze all of our fish, but do not freeze the shellfish raw.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to all BS postcodes on a Thursday and you can order up until 9PM on a Wednesday evening. Delivering across one day minimises our carbon footprint and means you get fresh fish from the day it has been caught. Our standard delivery is £5.50 and you will receive your order the following Thursday. If you need your order for a specific date, email hello@consciousfoodco.co.uk and we will be able to advise, and we do offer next day delivery for £10, but we would encourage you to use our standard service to minimise our impact where possible.
